=IFERROR(AVERAGE(IF(C5:C35=””,””,IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(“<“,C5:C35)),SUBSTITUTE

(C%:C35,”<“,””)/2,C5:C35))),””)

using above formula to average. If number has less than in front then takse half of the number. But if there is only one number and it has less than in front, than I need just that number, not half of it. How do I do this?? Also if I want to substitute AA for the less than symbol, could I do this? there would be an AA space than a number. Ex. AA 3.0. The AA would mean the same as the < sign.

Thanks

Phil
