I am trying to create a result based on an input (text – X) depending on a second input (also text – FA, PA and NA). I have managed to get two out of three results but am struggling with the third, which is to be the same as the second.
=IF(I2=”FA”,H2,IF(I2=”PA”,INDEX(‘ADMIN ONLY – Attainment Levels’!$A$2:$A$11,MATCH(READING!H2,’ADMIN ONLY – Attainment Levels’!$B$2:$B$11,0),IF(I2=”NA”,INDEX(‘ADMIN ONLY – Attainment Levels’!$A$2:$A$11,MATCH(READING!H2,’ADMIN ONLY – Attainment Levels’!$B$2:$B$11,0))))))
So if FA is entered then the result would be the same as the original input (X). If PA is entered then data would be read from another tab and show a corresponding figure.(eg. Y)
I tried repeating the same code for a third entry “NA” which should essentially look up the same values as “PA” would come back with the same result as such but this code comes back with FALSE. (not what I am looking for).
If there is a way to use OR to simplify this code or a way of correcting this code so FA would result in X and both PA and NA woudl result in Y?
Thank for your consideration and help in advance.
