Using Defined Names

RIght now I have a workbook that has a masterlist of data that updates another worksheet for the first quarter.  We need to create a third worksheet for quarter 2 that will again pull data from Masterlist.  However since Q1 we have adding in new data that is sorted by staff.  On Q2 sheet we want all the new data but the new data then also updates Q1 sheet which we don’t want.

Is there a way to have each quarter sheet pull data that was entered during a specific time frame?

Can you “freeze” Q1 sheet so new data will not update it?

What are options if any?
