Running Balance updated

If I have a spreadsheet in excel with a running balance and I sort byt a client column, and I wanted to insert a row, is there a way for the first transaction listed after the inserted row to update and start a new running balance?  For example if I insert a row between client Ashley and Client Bob, is there a way to have the Bob client balance automatically updated to a begining balnace of $12,500.00 and then update with a running balance from there?
