Workday data into daily data (known values)

Hi,

I have data for Apple stock prices since 2010. Since there is no trading on weekends or holidays, some of the dates are missing, for example:

04/01/10 30.5729
05/01/10 30.6257
06/01/10 30.1386
07/01/10 30.0829
08/01/10 30.2829
11/01/10 30.0157
12/01/10 29.6743

I need to convert this into daily data in order to calculate forward prices. Is there a way to paste the values above into a column of daily values, without individually matching each value with the right date?

For example, the data above would look like:

04/01/10 30.5729
05/01/10 30.6257
06/01/10 30.1386
07/01/10 30.0829
08/01/10 30.2829
09/01/10
10/01/10
11/01/10 30.0157
12/01/10 29.6743

I would then go on to fill the missing values with “last known” price. It just seems too painful to have to match every price with the corresponding date individually.

Thanks in advance 🙂
