I need help with a project I’m working on at work.
I have 30 colleagues who all work 5 shifts a week 7.5 hour shifts. There are around 6 different tasks each colleague could perform, but they can only perform certain tasks a maximum number of times each week and only a certain number of colleagues are needed for each task.
I have one spreadsheet for tasks they are skilled in, another for days they are in, and another for how many hours I require on each task.
My question is this. Is there a way to automatically assign each colleague a task on his Days in with one task being assigned a maximum number of occurrences? My manager has asked me to solve this as I know “a few formulas in excel” but my limit is pretty much countif.
Any help would be appreciated.
