# Get a cell reference of a value, in a worksheet (multi column/row, no “sorting” of values).

Looking for the function to state the cell reference of a given value in a worksheet (array).

Value “2” ,located in A1, and located in cell C9

Value “3” ,located in A2, and located in cell X3

Value “204” ,located in A3, and located in cell F1

array: B1:Z10  (which contains numerous blanks / values /letters etc.: not in any particular order). With the exception of blanks, all other “cell content” are unique (i.e. only 1 cell will contain 3, another only contains 204, another 2 etc).

If there a “function” “ABC” where:

cell reference = ABC(“value to look up”, “in array”)

=ABC(A1,\$B\$1:\$Z\$10)

=ABC(2,\$B\$1:\$Z\$10) = C9

or

=ABC(A2,\$B\$1:\$Z\$10)

=ABC(3,\$B\$1:\$Z\$10) = X3

or

=ABC(A3,\$B\$1:\$Z\$10)

=ABC(204,\$B\$1:\$Z\$10) = F1

This design is wicked! You definitely know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
