I want to conditionally format cells that have a day of the week in the cell, although the cell has the entire date.
So in a column, i have all days from 1st to 31st of each month, the format is
Day, Date, Month, Year
I want all the cells that contain the day “Friday” to appear in the colour red lets say.
(Note: The cells are already summing from another sheet =(Sheet1!E1) in case that changes anything)
Thats the first part.
In another row, i have cities of the world. I want to conditionally format cells that say “Singapore” to appear black according to the days of the week in a column, however if the day is a “Friday” i don’t want the cell to appear black, i want it to remain white.
I’ve attached a file of how i want it to appear.
I want to format alot of cells, with the examples in the file:
Adelaide = Not formatting
Brisbane = Formatting dates that contain “Wednesday” to “Sunday” as black, leaving the dates that contain “Monday” and “Tuesday” as white.
Singapore = Formatting dates that contain “Saturday” to “Thursday” as black, leaving the dates that contain “Friday” as white.
I want to do this as the dates will change in the columns regularly, however i always want the cells for “Friday” for Singapore to stay white.
Hopefully that made sense! Hopefully its possible to do to.
