Replace text, keep format

I have a spreadsheet containing 184 cells that I want to change on a weekly basis, when using the Replace function I lose the formatting of the text (all ends up same FontSize|Colour).

I want to keep the original formatting of this data.

Some of the text I need to keep a certain colour and size, with other data within the same cell a differing colour and size.

Is this possible, and if so how?

Thanks Tony

    Hello Tony

Are you using the Replace function as a formula or the find and replace within Excel’s menus? What version of Excel are using? Could you give an example of a cell containing differently formatted data, and what it would change to?

    Hi Kat

I was using Find and Replace from the menus using Office 2007.

I want to be able to change the data below, but leaving the actual ticket number as formatted ie this data is formatted by a larger font size and colour (red), all other text within the cell is formatted as black.

    Date: 10th Dec 2011 Ticket No. 001
